P3dr0 Diniz/Pedro Diniz is a Brazilian music producer, bassist, arranger and composer based in Los Angeles, California, with more than 20 years of professional and international experience. His work spans music production, live performance, arranging, composition and musical direction, with 13 full-length albums, 7 vinyl releases, projects connected to labels in Brazil, the United Kingdom and Japan, and more than 13 million Spotify streams across credited releases. As a performer and recording artist, he has appeared on major stages including Lollapalooza's main stage and the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Born and raised in Recife, Brazil, he began his musical training in the early 2000s, studying Music Theory and Electric Bass at CEMA with Professor André Sonda. From 2010 to 2014, he continued his studies in Arrangement, Contemporary Harmony and Advanced Contemporary Harmony at Tritonis School under Professor Thales Silveira, a Berklee College of Music graduate. This period laid the foundation for a career developed across recording, performance, production and composition.
In 2015, he moved to São Paulo and began working with Di Melo, one of the leading names in Brazilian soul. The collaboration resulted in the album Imorrível and expanded into touring and musical direction, with work across production, arrangements, composition and performance.
From 2016 onward, he joined Mundo Livre S/A, one of the central bands of the Manguebeat movement, contributing as musician, composer, arranger and producer across recordings, tours and artistic projects. During this period, he also developed a creative partnership with Fred 04, including the experimental project Sonofabit.
Across his career, he has built long-term and recurring collaborations with artists from different generations and scenes in Brazilian music. Credits include Devotos, Larissa Luz, Chico César, Criolo, Doralyce, Bia Ferreira, Isaar, Tagore, B. Negão, Rodger Rogério, Vitoriano, Bongar, Sam Nóbrega, Diablo Angel, Gilmar Bolla 8, Juba Valença, Rodrigo Morcego, Jorge du Peixe, Gerson King Combo, Laylah Arruda, Olmir Stocker, Rafael Bittencourt and Andria Busic, among others.
After performing across major cities and capitals throughout Brazil, he moved from São Paulo to California, expanding his work into new musical environments and international collaborations.
In 2024, his work in the United States expanded across academic, experimental and performance contexts. At the University of California, Riverside, he participated in composition, recording and production projects at the Experimental Acoustic Research Studio (EARS), including the live work Corpo at the Barbara and Art Culver Center. He also participated as a guest artist and musician in Silence is a Canvas, a collaborative UCR project that resulted in Nosferatu: Absent Presences and Digital Cultures, presented at the Culver Center with symposium participation and original music for film screening.
His California-based work has since moved across different scenes, generations and professional contexts: performing with an institutional ceremony band at casinos, wineries, bars and clubs; recording an EP with a Gen Z indie rock band; beginning a collaboration with Persian superstar Shams, including performances in San Francisco at the Hersbt Theater and at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood; launching the collective live music project The West Coast MPB; and developing an original album in Los Angeles with American and Brazilian collaborators.
The current work brings Brazilian and American musical influences into the same creative space, connecting production, composition and performance through a cross-cultural approach shaped by more than two decades of experience in different musical environments.
